Speak EZ speech...

Parents sometimes know things that never fail to amaze us. Even as I am away from my mom now, she would suddenly call me and asked whether I am okay, or whether I eat healthily and drink a lot of water. I will be like, “Mom, I’m fine.” And, voila, the next day, I got sore throat and runny nose.

I always wonder how she did it.

My parents have told me a lot of stories and given me a lot of advices which in different points of time had helped me a lot. I get my ideas for my project work from them, and they don’t even know it.

Nevertheless, I do not deny that sometimes, parents just do not understand their children. Partly because of generation gap. And partly, because we are just two or three different persons.

Some of the problems we faced today might not be experienced by parents before. The most obvious example would be how the Boy Girl Relationship is nowadays. Teenagers no longer wait till marriage to go intimate. Ergo the pregnancy outside marriage and all the trouble caused. Parents do not know what is best as they never experienced this before and are just experimenting when they give advice to their children.

On the other hand, haven’t our parents been warning us off the danger of having intimate relationships freely? And what happens when the children ignore the warning? They get into troubles.

Whether or not parents know best, it all depends on the people involved. Some parents can prove to be quite ignorant and thus make wrong decisions for their children. Some though can be quite a help for their children’s journey towards adulthood.

Parents might not know best, but they most certainly want the best for us.

thePROFILE;

Fiona (17) is an Indonesian who was exported to Singapore on 26th Oct 2006 to enroll in Cedar Girls' Secondary School unknowingly.
Nevertheless, she did not regret it as Cedar is such a fun school with fun people she would not want to exchange it with anything in the world.
Anyway, she was born to a happy couple on 29th August 1991 in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia.
Four years later, she was blessed with a cute little brother (who is not little anymore now by the way as he is now towering high).
She was living with her loving parents, brother, grandpa and a LOT of fishes. (which means she lives in the sea? o.0?)
Let's ignore that fact and let's talk about now.
Well, now, she has get her JAE result and is now an ANDERSON JUNIOR COLLEGE student, science stream.
She is not yet sure if she is happy with this result but she will still make the best out of her new school! ^-^
And she is so sorry for the wordy profile she had written. :p
